Schome (not school — not home — schome
) is a project which is exploring the use of virtual worlds to support learning amongst teenagers.
The main focus of work on schome is currently on the use of Teen Second Life to give people ‘a lived experience’ of radically different models of education.

In Brown backs ‘personal’ learning the BBC reports a speech by Gordon Brown to the Labour Party annual conference in which he backs increased provision of ‘personal’ learning within schools. Learning personal to each pupil — educational available to all, not one —size fits all, but responding to individual needs.
